Dave Paddy, or Paddy as he prefers to be known, began his working life at Aerospace in Broughton near Chester, after graduating as an aeronautical engineer, he decided to return to full time education and enrolled at the university of Derby to  studied for a B.A Hons. in Photography under the tutelage of such leading photographers as John Blakemore, Richard Sadler and Olivier Richon.

After leaving Derby, Paddy went on to become a Lecturer in Photography, Graphics and Multimedia at Yale College in Wrexham, one of the leading FE colleges in the country. During this time his work was exhibited both nationally and internationally and he continued to work as a freelance photographer and designer.

Fifteen years later, after guiding a many students through their courses and on to higher education and  promising careers in the arts, Paddy left teaching to concentrate on his own photography and fine art practice.

He now lives near the beautiful town of Llanrwst in North Wales and runs Tilt and Shift studio with his partner Eleri Griffiths, herself an award winning photographer.
